safe environment

The Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary are committed to providing a safe environment in which those we serve are protected from all harm. To this end, we have created a policy delineating norms for the prevention of abuse of minors and vulnerable adults.

All adult members, employees, and volunteers of the Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary serving at our retreat centers or involved in our apostolic and educational programs are required to fulfill the terms of this policy and comply with its directives. In addition to a background check, this includes initial and ongoing training according to the Catholic program VIRTUS as well as possible additional training required by the respective diocese.
