In the jubilee year, we are launching a special series: On the 1st of every month, a mini-documentary about one of our sisters will be released.
Through their personal stories and diverse fields of work and apostolate, it becomes visible how the Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary live out their mission today.
Whether in direct service to the Schoenstatt Movement, in pastoral ministry, in social or academic fields — each story is unique, and yet they all have one thing in common: like Mary, they want to make the message of God’s love tangible.
We hope you enjoy the faces, places, and experiences that bring a piece of our worldwide mission to life!
In this video, Sister Marie Françoise Nimubona presents the Queen of Trust Center in Gikungu (Bujumbura), an important place of the Schoenstatt Movement dedicated to the spiritual formation of young women.
Every month, members of the academic branch gather to receive guidance and to live their ideal: “To Be the Chalice”, bringing Christ into their professional and personal lives.
The video also highlights a social sewing project created to support young girls and mothers without employment. Groups of 20 women follow a 6-month training program, learn a valuable profession, and gain financial independence. Several groups have already graduated and testify to their renewed autonomy.
Through the Covenant of Love, Schoenstatt contributes to unity, dignity, and social renewal in Burundi..
