Last week, three of our sisters – Sr. Annmarie, Sr. M. Gabriella, and Sr. M. Virgene – were in a serious car accident in Madison, Wisconsin. Many of you have heard about this and have offered us your prayers and support in various ways during this time. We wish to express our sincere gratitude for all the kindness we have received. It has been a beautiful experience of solidarity.
Our Blessed Mother’s protection and care for our three sisters has been tangible. They were all treated for various injuries at hospitals in Madison, and are now on their way to full recuperation. Sr. M. Virgene is recuperating at our provincial house in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Sr. Annmarie has been transferred to a nearby rehabilitation center, and Sr. M. Gabriella will soon be joining her there. They still have a long road ahead of them, but they are all in good spirits and grateful for the ways in which God our Father has provided for them during this trial.
We continue to unite our prayers with yours for the full recovery of our sisters. In gratitude, we also remember all of you in our daily prayers, especially in our Schoenstatt Shrine. May our Mother and Queen grant you many graces in return for your support and concern.
In Christ and Mary,
The Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary
